¶ Becoming a member
If you're not familiar with hackerspaces in general go through this doc to make sure you know what you're getting involved with.
Onboarders are volunteering their time and effort to deal with you so be nice to them. The hackerspace houses a lot of equiment so the door access symbolises the trust we put in you to take good care of it. You are expected to clean up after yourself.

- Find two members who shall vouch for your trustworthyness. K-SPACE provides 24/7 access to loads of tools & equipment — it's fair to ask proof of trust.
¶ Process
Setup monthly recurring payments (Püsimakse/-korraldus) for easier membership fee management. See your bank's help page on how to set it up.

Regular tier 29€ per month
As appreciation token we give you 24/7 door access so you can pop in whenver you like and make use of equipment in common rooms eg soldering irons. Upon availability you can make use of one locker for free to keep some of your stuff on prem. We can provide you with up to 2 VM-s in our Proxmox cluster (see Proxmox).

Associate tier 59€ per month
Many of the people we have don't wish to be involved in the management of the hackerspace and now with around 70 people with floor access it becomes hard to reach consensus on different matters. For this reason we branched out 'Associate tier' which basically is for people who want to make use of facilities but don't have time or interest in MTÜ management politics.
This package grants you the right to host ONE up to 2U sized server or HP blade server in our infrastructure. If you don't have a HP blade server we can provide one, just make sure you bring your own 2.5" disks because the ones that we have are worn out. HP blade uses 17EUR per month for electricity while idling and goes up to around 30EUR per month under full load.
Note that being able to host 2U server at this price is ridiculously cheap. At 'real' hosting providers hosting 2U box starts at 130EUR per month nowadays in Estonia going to 160EUR and higher depending on power draw. Hosting additional servers is possible, just reach out to info@k-space.ee.
For better energy efficiency, if possible, we strongly encourage getting a beefy VM instead. Servers and blades often end up idling. Storage via a SAS enclosure is available.
This tier also gives access to more expensive tools located behind access controller workshop

Resident tier 99€ per month
You want a presistent desk at the hackerspace.
You can have label with your name on the mailbox and retrieve mail at our address. Freelancers and startups welcome.

Member tier
This tier complements Associate or Resident tiers above. This is for people who want to get more involved in the K-SPACE MTÜ management.
Minimum payment 59€ per month, no discounts possible. You must have at least 2 current members reccommend you, have impeccable payment record and have enough patience to wait until next General Assembly.
You must be ready to participate in the annual General Assemblies (üldkoosolek), you can nominate yourself as board member, you can elect board members and you will also have right to recall board members. Board members are the ones ultimately responsible for K-SPACE MTÜ legally and the ones responsible for getting bills paid.

Company tier
You have more than one people who would like to work at the space. Just drop us a line at info@k-space.ee and briefly describe your wishes.
¶ Offboarding / Cancelling
There is no special case for pausing — as with cancelling, you must clean up everything, unless negotiated otherwise in writing.
- Empty locker, and return all keys.
- Locker and workshop keys may be returned to the post box (1st floor, next to Pannkoogimaja, between the doors). Please document the action at info@k-space.ee, else the key is not returned on your name, and you will be held liable!
- K-SPACE is not a dump! Items not in the list must be accepted before 'donating', at info@k-space.ee, or by a member.
- Return all borrows and relevant inventory, take yours home.
- Empty nextcloud.k-space.ee, decomission pve.k-space.ee VMs, check git.k-space.ee.
- Send e-mail to info@k-space.ee. Access (detailed at wiki.k-space.ee front page) will be terminated.
