¶ Hostingk6
Physical 2U Server is ONE up to 2U-sized server. What's included
Ridiculously cheap colocation. At 'real' hosting providers, 2U box in Estonia start at 130€/mo, ballooning to 160€/mo and higher depending on network power draw. See hosting for pricing in addition to membership.
We heavily encourage a beefy VM (see below) instead. Almost all servers and blades end up idling, at 17-30€/mo electricity. Tell us what you are looking for at info@k-space.ee
K-SPACE can provide a server from its wide inventory at minimal cost. Bring your own disks, server, or state your needs.
We offer a variety of NVMe-accelerated storage options from our 18 TB and 50 TB storage pools over FC and 10GbE. Shared storage is backed up off-site.
K-SPACE, still run by volunteers until budget for employment, intentionally does not provide SLA. You can expect about the same as Hetzner, often better. Need more? Let's talk: info@k-space.ee.

You are responsible for the actions of invited friends, including replacing stolen/broken items, and paying for clean-up. Nobody unattended outside of booked events.
Booking reserves the space, but isn't exclusive — other members may walk past it. As with friends, at the end of the day, you are still responsible. For events with more than 20 participants, paying for clean-up (usually 100€) is mandatory.

¶ Leadership
Voting rights are granted by legal membership (separate from the packages above), for people who want to have a say in K-SPACE MTÜ direction.
Legal membership can be applied for in General Assembly (üldkoosolek) meetings. Requirements:
- Associate package (69€/mo) or greater. Maximum 2 months unpaid.
- 2 recommendations from current legal members.
You must be ready to participate in General Assemblies (üldkoosolek), 1-2 yearly (see Wiki → About → Meetings).
¶ Board members
Legal members can run for, vote, and recall board members.
Board members (usually 2) are the ones ultimately responsible for K-SPACE MTÜ legally. They decide on day-to-day operations and pay the bills.
¶ Become a member
K-SPACE (originally renovated by members) houses mountains of expensive equipment, artifacts, and member's projects. Giving 24/7 access symbolises the trust we put in you to respect the work.
You are expected to store your items by the end of the day[2:1]. Just for the night, leaving behind tiny messes is the most significant problem we have — in the 8 years, and counting. It's most heartbreaking to come from work, planning 2 hours for a project, and leave with no progress, repeatedly.
¶ Prerequisites
- Show up to a Chaostreff or a few. Eventually, find two members to vouch for your trustworthiness by introducing yourself
- Including onboarding, can be done quick in one evening. Onboarders are thankful if you recall the vouchees' names.
- Take time to read through k-space.ee/rules. These live on past reasonable and unreasonable anger, misunderstandings, organizational forks, things 'just' happening.
¶ Onboarding
- E-mail info@k-space.ee (ET/EN) with:
- Which package: Regular, Associate, Resident, or something else
- Phone number (and e-mail)
- (optional) GitHub username for non-Slack/non-email login to auth.k-space.ee
- Who can vouch for you? No exceptions.
- Confirm you have fully(!) read and agree to k-space.ee/rules.
- (If Arti or Rasmus is present, ping to speed it up.)

¶ Offboarding / Cancelling
There is no special case for pausing — as with cancelling, you must clean up everything, unless negotiated otherwise in writing.
- Empty locker, and return all keys.
- Locker and workshop keys may be returned to the post box (1st floor, next to Pannkoogimaja, between the doors). Please document the action at info@k-space.ee, else the key is not returned on your name, and you will be held liable!
- K-SPACE is not a dump! Items not in the list must be accepted before 'donating', at info@k-space.ee, or by a member.
- Return all borrows and relevant inventory, take yours home.
- Empty nextcloud.k-space.ee, decommission pve.k-space.ee VMs, check git.k-space.ee.
- VPN terminated, infra admin access removed (whoroles, ansible).
- Send e-mail to info@k-space.ee. Access (detailed at wiki.k-space.ee front page) will be terminated.

- Check Merit Aktiva for all bills to be paid (lõpparve).
