If you're not ready to commit you're welcome to pop in every Thursday, no membership required for that. Unless there is a raging pandemic. In that case or if there are no events, write an email regarding visit. Proof of vaccination and mask is a requirement.
If you're not familiar with hackerspaces in general go through this doc to make sure you know what you're getting involved with.
Approach one of the onboarders during Chaostreff that you would like to sign up. Onboarder invites you to our Slack members' channel as a member. Automation will pick up your contact information there and once the payment checks out and onboarder confirms they have seen you face to face you will receive a login link to your e-mail, which will give access to our members site. There you can set up door access tokens, claim a locker, desk, see webcams and much more.
Set the monthly recurring payment (Püsimakse) for easier membership fee management. See your bank's help page on how to set it up.
Recipient: K-SPACE MTÜ IBAN: EE467700771002926893 LHV's BIC/SWITFT: LHVBEE22XXX
Once we have received your first payment take any RFID card (TLL Travelcard/bank card supporting contactless payments/keyfob etc) what you'll be using as key to access the hackerspace and come by on a Thursday evening, for your onboarding PoC to add it to the our Doorboy™ system. The hackerspace houses a lot of equiment so the door access symbolises the trust we put in you to take good care of it.
Onboarders are volunteering their time and effort to deal with you so be nice to them. If you want to cancel your subscription please let your onboarder know.
You like what we do at K-SPACE. Pay whatever you want and you get mentioned on members.k-space.ee. You're welcome to pop in Thursdays and socialize. Does not include door access.
As appreciation token we give you 24/7 door access so you can pop in whenver you like and make use of equipment in common rooms eg soldering irons. Upon availability you can make use of one locker for free to keep some of your stuff on prem. We can provide you with up to 2 VM-s in our Proxmox cluster (see Proxmox).
Many of the people we have don't wish to be involved in the management of the hackerspace and now with around 60 people with floor access it becomes hard to reach consensus on different matters. For this reason we branched out 'Associate tier' which basically is for people who want to make use of facilities but don't have time or interest in MTÜ management politics.
This package grants you the right to host ONE up to 2U sized server or HP blade server in our infrastructure. If you don't have a HP blade server we can provide one, just make sure you bring your own 2.5" disks because the ones that we have are worn out. HP blade uses 17EUR per month for electricity while idling and goes up to around 30EUR per month under full load.
Note that being able to host 2U server at this price is ridiculously cheap. At 'real' hosting providers hosting 2U box starts at 130EUR per month nowadays in Estonia going to 160EUR and higher depending on power draw. Hosting additional servers is possible, just reach out to email@example.com.
For better energy efficiency, if possible, we strongly encourage getting a beefy VM instead. Servers and blades often end up idling. Storage via a SAS enclosure is available.
With student discount price goes down to 45€
You want a presistent desk at the hackerspace. You vacate the locker for lower tier members.
You can have label with your name on the mailbox and retrieve mail at our address. Freelancers and startups welcome.
With student discount price goes down to 85€/mon
This tier complements Associate or Resident tiers above. This is for people who want to get more involved in the K-SPACE MTÜ management.
Minimum payment 59€ per month, no discounts possible. You must have at least 2 current members reccommend you, have impeccable payment record and have enough patience to wait until next General Assembly. All people of this tier are mentioned here.
You must be ready to participate in the annual General Assemblies (üldkoosolek), you can nominate yourself as board member, you can elect board members and you will also have right to recall board members. Board members are the ones ultimately responsible for K-SPACE MTÜ legally and the ones responsible for getting bills paid.
You have more than one people who would like to work at the space. Just drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and briefly describe your wishes.
